iLoveScreenshots

Help center

Everything you need to design, translate and export store screenshots with iLoveScreenshots.

Getting started

Make your first set of App Store and Google Play screenshots with iLoveScreenshots in a few minutes, with or without an account.

Try it without an account

Open the guest editor and start right away. A guest project is saved in your browser only, so it stays on that device. Exporting asks you to sign in first.

Your first project

  1. Pick a design from the template gallery, or start from the blank project the editor opens with.
  2. Drop your app screenshots onto the device frames. Upload PNG, JPEG or WebP images up to 25 MB each.
  3. Click a headline on the canvas and type your own copy.
  4. Add a page for each screenshot you want in the store listing.
  5. Choose Export to download a ZIP with every store size and language.

Keep your work

Create an account and confirm your email address, and your guest work moves into the account so you can open it on any computer. If you already have more projects than your plan allows, the extra ones stay in the browser.

Where to next

Using the editor

Pages, device rows, layers and the inspector: how the editor is laid out and how to build each screenshot.

How the board works

The board shows one row for each store device, such as iPhone, iPad, Android phone and Android tablet. Every row has the same pages in the same order. A change you make on one row applies to every row, so you design a screenshot once and it fits every size.

Use the Devices menu to turn rows on and off. At least one row has to stay on.

Pages

Each page is one store screenshot. Use Add page at the end of a row to add one, with up to 30 per row. To change the order, drag pages, or use Move left and Move right in the page menu. The page menu also lets you:

  • Duplicate a page.
  • Give a page its own theme, or remove its theme.
  • Delete a page on every device, or on this device only.

A project always keeps at least one page.

Adding elements

The side rail on the left holds everything you can add:

  • Elements: phone frames, text in heading, subheading and body styles, shapes (rectangle, ellipse, line, arrow, blob) and a pen for drawing. Pick one, then click or drag on the canvas.
  • Icons: an icon set for feature callouts.
  • Uploads: your screenshots, images and custom fonts (.ttf, .otf, .woff, .woff2).
  • Theme: the project's look, including the background designer.
  • Layers: every element on the page, in stacking order.

The inspector

Select an element to edit it in the inspector on the right. Text has typography, outline, background and shadow settings. A device frame lets you choose the device, its colour finish and the screenshot inside it, and Edit screenshot crops that screenshot. With nothing selected, the inspector shows the page's theme, device and canvas.

Changes on one device only

Elements are shared across rows. To delete an element from the current row only, hold Alt as you press Delete. A device frame also has Frame on this device settings, so it can sit differently on a tablet than on a phone.

Limits

Each page holds up to 200 layers, and a project holds up to 20 languages. You will see a gentle warning once a row passes 10 pages, because most store listings show fewer screenshots than that.

Keyboard shortcuts

Every keyboard shortcut in the editor, and how to turn off single-key shortcuts for screen readers and voice control.

Mod means Cmd on a Mac and Ctrl on Windows and Linux. Press ? in the editor to see this list at any time.

Turning off single-key shortcuts

Single-key shortcuts such as T can get in the way of screen readers and voice control. To turn them off, press ? and use the switch at the top of the shortcuts dialog. Shortcuts that use Mod or Alt keep working. The setting is saved in this browser.

Templates

Start from a designed template, make it your own, and what happens to your existing projects when you do.

Starting from a template

Browse the template gallery, open a design and choose Use this template. The editor opens a new project with the template's pages, theme and placeholder screenshots.

A template always starts a new project. It never overwrites a project you already have. On the free plan, using a template when you are already at your project limit shows the upgrade dialog, and your latest project opens instead.

Making it yours

  1. Replace each placeholder screenshot with your own by dropping an image on the frame.
  2. Rewrite the headlines.
  3. Adjust the look once in the Theme panel. Every page follows.

Your project gets its own copy of the template, images included, so later changes to the template never touch your work.

Store sizes and devices

The exact screenshot pixel sizes the App Store and Google Play ask for, and the device frames available for each.

Export sizes

Each device row exports at the size its store listing currently asks for:

Store rowSize in pixels
App Store, iPhone 6.9 inch1320 × 2868
App Store, iPad 13 inch2064 × 2752
Google Play, phone1080 × 1920
Google Play, 10 inch tablet2160 × 3840

Apple scales the 6.9 inch iPhone and 13 inch iPad sets down for smaller devices, so one set per device type covers every iPhone and iPad.

Device frames

The device frame is the hardware drawn around your screenshot. It does not change the export size. Select a frame to pick a model and colour finish in the inspector:

  • iPhone: iPhone 17 Pro Max, 17 Pro and 17; iPhone 16 Pro Max, 16 Pro and 16.
  • iPad: iPad Pro 13 and 11 inch, iPad Air 13 and 11 inch, iPad and iPad mini.
  • Android phone: Galaxy S26 Ultra, S26+ and S26; Pixel 11 Pro XL, 11 Pro and 11.
  • Android tablet: Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and S11.

Languages and translation

Add languages to a project, translate headlines by hand or automatically, and export a folder per language.

Adding a language

Open the language menu in the editor and choose Add language. Every headline keeps a version for each language, and the canvas shows whichever language you switch to. A project can hold up to 20 languages.

Translating

Choose Translations in the language menu to see every string side by side, with missing ones marked for each language. From there you can:

  • Type translations by hand.
  • Use Fill the rest from another language to copy text across as a starting point. This works on every plan.
  • Use Auto-translate to machine-translate everything that is missing. This is a Pro feature.

Right-to-left languages

Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Urdu, Pashto, Sindhi, Uyghur and Yiddish are written right to left, and their text fields switch direction automatically.

In the export

Every language gets its own folder in the ZIP, ready to upload to the matching store locale. See Exporting.

Exporting

Download every store size and language as one ZIP, choose a file format, and find each file in the folder structure.

Exporting a project

Choose Export in the editor's top bar. Rendering happens in your browser at full resolution, with no watermark on any plan. You need to be signed in to export, so guests are asked to sign in first.

File formats

  • PNG is the default and the safest choice for both stores.
  • JPEG makes smaller files. Set the quality from 40 to 100%.
  • WebP is for general use, such as your website. The App Store and Google Play accept only PNG and JPEG.

What is in the ZIP

The download is called your-project-screenshots.zip. Inside, files are grouped by store, then device and size, then language, and numbered in page order:

ios/iphone-6.9-1320x2868/en/01-welcome.png

Upload each language folder to the matching locale in App Store Connect or the Google Play Console, and keep the numbers in order.

Export limits

Each plan caps how many files one export can hold. If a project is bigger than that, turn off some device rows or languages, or upgrade. Current limits are on the pricing page.

Account and data

Sign in, verify your email, reset your password, download your data and delete your account.

Signing in

Sign in with your email address and a password, or with Continue with Google. New accounts need to confirm their email address before opening the app. Check your spam folder if the email does not arrive.

Forgotten password

On the sign-in page, choose Reset your password and we will email you a link to set a new one.

Settings

Settings is where you:

  • Update your profile.
  • Change your email address or password.
  • Sign out of every other device.
  • Download all your projects and uploads as a ZIP from Your data.

Deleting your account

Choose Delete account in settings. Deletion happens 30 days later, and until then you can cancel it with Keep my account. After that, your projects and uploads are removed for good. Download your data first if you want to keep a copy.

The privacy policy explains what we store and why.

Plans and billing

What the free plan includes, what Pro adds, and how to upgrade, change, cancel or get a refund.

Free and Pro

The free plan includes the editor, every template, every store size and every language, with no watermark. Pro adds:

  • Unlimited projects.
  • Larger exports and more storage.
  • Machine translation.
  • The asset library.

Current prices and limits come straight from the billing system and are on the pricing page.

The project limit and the trash

On the free plan, every project you have counts towards the limit, including deleted ones. A deleted project stays in the trash for 30 days, so you can undo the delete, and keeps counting until it is removed for good. Deleting a project does not free up room for a new one straight away. For more projects, upgrade to Pro.

Upgrading and managing your subscription

Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through Paddle, our payment provider. To upgrade, change plan, update your payment method or cancel, go to Subscription in the app.

If you cancel

Your projects stay in your account. If you have more than the free plan allows, your most recently edited ones stay editable and the rest become read-only. You can still open and export all of them within the free plan limits.

Refunds

You can ask for a refund within 14 days of a Pro charge. See the refund policy.

Troubleshooting

Fixes for the most common problems with uploads, exports, translation and signing in.

An upload is rejected

Images must be PNG, JPEG or WebP and 25 MB or smaller. Fonts must be .ttf, .otf, .woff or .woff2. If you see the upgrade dialog instead, you have used up your plan's storage. Delete uploads you no longer need, or upgrade.

Export asks me to sign in

Guests can design but not export. Create an account or sign in, and your guest project comes with you once your email is confirmed.

The store rejects my screenshots

Export as PNG or JPEG, not WebP. Upload each device folder to the matching device slot in App Store Connect or the Google Play Console. The sizes are listed in Store sizes and devices.

I can't create another project

The free plan has a project limit, and deleted projects still count towards it for the 30 days they stay in the trash. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited projects. See Plans and billing.

Auto-translate shows an upgrade prompt

Machine translation is part of Pro. On the free plan, type translations by hand or use Fill the rest from to copy text from another language.

I didn't get the confirmation email

Check your spam folder, and make sure the address you signed up with is correct.

A key does something unexpected

Single-key shortcuts may be getting in the way. Press ? in the editor to see them all, or turn them off. See Keyboard shortcuts.
